Iridium plug

Application
For two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles

Features
Since an iridium alloy chip made from extra-fine new material, is used for the central electrodes and a platinum alloy chip is used for the external electrodes, this plug has excellent durability. It also has a high ignitability and helps reduce discharge voltage.

Iridium plug

Single iridium plug

Application
For four-wheel vehicles

Features
Due to the extra-fine central electrodes (0.6 mm) made of a new material, iridium alloy, ignitability, starting performance, and acceleration performance are improved.

Single iridium plug

Highly ignitable iridium plug – angular chip type

Application
For two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles

Features
For further improvement of the ignitability of the conventional iridium plugs, an angular Pt chip is welded to the leading edge of the external electrodes to reduce the size of the covering of the central electrodes, which thereby curbs the flame damping ability and wear of the external electrode.
As a result, both high ignitability and long operating life have been realized.

Highly ignitable iridium plug – DFE type

Application
For two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles

Features
For further improvement of the ignitability of the conventional iridium plugs, a needle-shaped Pt chip is welded to the leading edge of the external electrodes to thereby curb the flame damping ability of the base material of the electrode. This has ensured the durability of the plug and has also improved the ignitability to the maximum.

Three-pole iridium plug

Application
Three-pole iridium plug

Features
Normally, sparks are thrown off on the main electrodes (air-gap discharge) in the same manner as the conventional iridium plugs.
When the insulator is stained with carbon and smoldering occurs, sparks are thrown off between the electrodes on the opposite side of the leading edge of the insulator (semi-creeping discharge) and the carbon that clings to the insulator is burnt off and eliminated by spark discharge. This plug excels in resistance to stain. After the carbon has been burnt off, sparks are thrown off on the main electrodes again.

Three-pole iridium plug

Platinum plug

Application
For two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles

Features
Because a platinum alloy is used for the leading edge of the central electrodes and the external electrodes, this plug excels in durability. In addition, because the central electrodes are thin, the ignitability, starting performance, and acceleration performance are improved.

M12, HEX14 compact-size long-reach plug

Application
For four-wheel vehicles

Features
This plug has been downsized by 14% by changing the mounting screw diameter from M14 to M12 and the metal fitting hexagon head size from HEX16 to HEX14 in order to improve the degree of freedom in the design layout around the plug mounting location of the cylinder head in response to the requests made by the introduction of direct injection (DI), twin spark, higher output, turbocharger, and downsizing to engines. In addition the cooling capability of the cylinder head has been improved by increasing the screw length from 19 to 26.5 mm, which thereby helps enable higher output of the engine.

Register plug

Application
For two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles and for farming-, forestry, and marine vessel-related industrial equipment

Features
This plug removes interruption by noises to the car radio, car telephone, etc. by curbing the ignition noise caused by the sparks with the ceramic resistance (5 kΩ) embedded inside the spark plug being used. It also prevents the electronically-controlled fuel injection system from operating erroneously.

Green plug

Application
For two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles and for farming-, forestry, and marine vessel-related industrial equipment

Features
Because sparks are thrown off near the exterior of the central electrodes due to the grooving of 90 degrees on the central electrodes in parallel to the external electrodes, the flame damping effect (effect that the electrodes absorb the heat energy) becomes small, thereby improving the ignitability, starting performance, acceleration performance, idling stability, and fuel consumption efficiency.

Protrusion-type plug

Application
For four-wheel vehicles

Features
In order to stabilize combustion, this plug has a structure in which the ignition position protrudes and the location near the center of the combustion chamber is ignited.

Protrusion-type plug

Metal fitting protrusion-type plug

Application
For four-wheel vehicles

Features
This plug has a structure in which the leading edge of the main metal fitting protrudes from the engine head and the fitting prevents the liquid fuel from flowing in along the head surface. Therefore, the plug excels in resistance to stain. In addition, the overheating and breakage of the external electrodes of the protrusion-type plug can be prevented.

Multi-polar plug

Application
For two-wheel and four-wheel vehicles

Features
Two-polar, three-polar, and four-polar plugs are available as multi-polar plugs that have multiple external electrodes, and they excel in durability. In addition, because the length of the external electrodes of the plug is shorter than that of the parallel electrode plug, it is difficult to overheat.

Multi-polar semi-creeping discharge plug

Application
For four-wheel vehicles

Features
This plug has a structure in which sparks fly along the insulator surface. When the insulator is stained with carbon and smoldering occurs, the carbon that clings to the insulator is burnt off and eliminated by spark discharge. This plug excels in resistance to carbon stain. Since, for the semi-creeping plug, the setting for broader spark gaps can be configured, ignitability improves and the increase of the requested voltage caused by the broader spark gap due to the electrode wear is curbed at a low level.

Creeping discharge plug

Application
For marine vessels

Features
Because this plug has a structure in which sparks fly along the insulator surface, it excels in resistance to stain. In addition, it has an extremely low thermal value because the heat receiving area of the insulator is extremely small. This plug is used in combination with the CDI power supply in order to prevent stain damage.

Plug with an auxiliary spark gap

Application
For four-wheel vehicles

Features
This plug sparks and ignites the combustion chamber with the auxiliary spark gap only when the spark plug is smoldering. It has improved resistance to stain damage. After carbon has been burnt off, discharge is performed between the regular gaps.

Plug for rotary engines

Application
For four-wheel vehicle rotary engines

Features
Because the plugs for rotary engines must meet the severe conditions that engines present, such as many explosions occurring in the engine and the time during which the spark plug is exposed to combustion gas being long, a spark plug that has a special form for sparking, durability, and good ignitability has been adopted for the rotary engine plugs.

Oblique electrode plug

Application
For two-wheel vehicles and race cars

Features
In the case of rapidly-rotating and high-output engines, problems such as the breakage, overheating, and melting of the external electrodes may occur due to the engine vibration. The temperature of the external electrode leading edge can be lowered by making the electrode oblique and by shortening its length. In addition, earthquake resistance can be improved by making the bending angle of the electrode small.

Oblique electrode plug

Compact plug

Application
For farming- and forestry-related industrial equipment

Features
Because the plug is compact and light due to the small height between the plug seating surface and the terminal, it is ideal for grass cutter or chain saw engines.
